In a large pot, sugar and cornstarch dissolve in water over low heat. Boil until mixture is thick, like syrup (about 10 minutes).Remove from heat and let cool.
When the sugar syrup is completely cooled mix with fruit puree.
Put in a plastic container (no lid) and freeze until it is resolved.
Cut Cut the sorbet into pieces and mix in a process blender or smooth.
Place the sorbet in the freezer and freeze again for 4 hours.
Serve frozen.
Variations:
Strawberry sorbet 2 cups pureed strawberries = use other berries and leaves.
Mashed ripe blackberry sorbet = 2 cups berries and other use.
Raspberry sorbet = 2 cups pureed raspberries and other berries to use.
Mixed
fruit sorbet (sorbet or other fruit), you can taste the sorbet to
change to another fruit or a combination of fruit, as long as you are on
the same side of the fruit puree to keep.
Sugar Free Carrot Cake
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 cups water
1 cup chopped dates
1 cup raisins
1 teaspoon cinnamon
¾ teaspoon ground ginger
½ teaspoon ground cloves
½ teaspoon grated nutmeg
¾ cup carrots, grated
½ cup chopped walnuts
1/3 cup orange juice concentrate, frozen, thawed
Grease a pan and set aside.
Preheat oven to 350
In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Set this mixture aside.
Mix dates, water, raisins, cinnamon, ginger, cloves and nutmeg in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes can be.
Add grated carrots to the water hot mix and cold.
Once cooled, add the nuts and orange juice to carrot mixture and mix well.
Mix dry ingredients.
Divide batter into prepared cake pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
